Want to work for a company named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work?

Be part of something exciting. Be part of the show.

The University of Wolverhampton at The Halls is looking for energetic, resilient, and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our team. If you've got experience handling cash, pouring pints, and keeping your cool when it gets busy and delivering excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!

This isn't just any bar job — this is your chance to be part of unforgettable live events, working in the heart of the action.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcoming guests with a smile and making them feel safe, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the show.
  • Serving and presenting drinks quickly, efficiently, and with style – always delivering a Best-In-Class service.
  • Keeping the bar and venue looking spotless so our guests can focus on the performance.
  • Letting customers know about our latest drinks and promotions.
  • Pitching in with the wider team when needed – from scanning tickets to helping our access customers.
  • Making every guest's night out feel like something special.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous bar and/or cash-handling experience.
  • Someone who stays positive, friendly, and unflappable under pressure (angry customer? Long queue? No problem).
  • A natural people-person who enjoys delivering great service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and those last-minute gig nights.
  • A team player who's proactive, reliable, and ready to get stuck in.

Why You'll Love It Here

  • You'll be part of a team that thrives on live events – no two shifts are ever the same.
  • You'll get to work in a buzzing venue that hosts unforgettable performances.
  • You'll gain great experience in live entertainment, hospitality, and customer service.

So, if you're ready to roll up your sleeves, keep the drinks flowing, and be part of nights people will talk about for years, apply now!

We'll give you a thorough induction and training in the role so you are set up for success.

Where: You'll be based at the venue in Wolverhampton. You will need to be available to work evenings and weekends at events (5pm-11pm).

When: Assessment centres will be held at the end of September/beginning of October.

We need people to start work with us on 24 and 28 October.
