As Europe’s “must-play” venue, The O2 arena has presented today’s biggest acts in comedy and music including U2, Trevor Noah, Adele, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Rihanna, Chris Rock, Bon Jovi, Beyoncé, Drake, Taylor Swift and many more.

World class sporting events, including serving as the host venue for the London 2012 Olympics, NBA season games, UFC, 10 years of the Nitto ATP Finals and the home of British boxing, have all contributed to cementing The O2 as the world’s number one arena.

Outlet Shopping at The O2 are looking for a Retail Manager to be responsible for the day to day running of Outlet Shopping. You'll play an active role in adding value to both Outlet Shopping and AEG.

You will

  • Develop positive relationships with the tenants to include:
    • regular tenant meetings to understand trading performance locally and nationally, promotions, team changes, training, new lines / ranges coming in. Report back to the wider Outlet Shopping Management team at the weekly operations meetings.
    • liaise between the tenant and the Outlet Shopping marketing team to help promote any key activities on the Outlet Shopping website, social media, blogs / vlogs where appropriate.
    • actively enforce tenant lease obligations and the Outlet Shopping operating and brand guidelines, including appropriate merchandising, pricing and signage standards.
    • collate, present and analyse key revenue data to proactively respond to and anticipate opportunities for growth.
  • Be committed to the customer service excellence that AEG aspires to at The O2 and contribute to and support any measures and outcomes that monitors and improves this.
  • Drive excellence in standards in all areas front and back of house, be it services, cleaning, security etc.
  • Support the marketing team in the implementation of events and activities
  • Research the retail and leisure market to bring new ideas and innovations to the management team.
  • Assist with ensuring that the landlord and tenants comply with Health and Safety requirements.

We are looking for someone with previous relevant experience of premium and /or Luxury retail markets preferably both at full price and outlet who also has experience with concession partners and preferably a knowledge and understanding of outlet strategies.

You will

  • Be analytical, commercial, and numerate 
  • Be strategic and have operational experience – adopting a common sense, hands-on approach 
  • Have a good working knowledge of budgets with the ability to interpret budget reports
  • Be able to build rapport with tenants and colleagues and ensure effective working relationships are maintained and developed
  • Confidently place the customer in the centre of everything

When covering the Duty Manager role on a rota basis you will need to be able to cover late nights and weekends. This is likely to be a minimum of one weekend and one week of late nights a month, as well as a fair share of Bank Holiday Duty Manager shifts (split between Mgt Team).
