The O2 is looking for a Health & Safety Manager (Events & Risk) to join their amazing Health & Safety team!

You will:

  • Manage the work permits for all event activities, including The O2 arena events, and site- wide activations and special events.
  • Review and advise on event related risk activities.
  • Review event safety risk assessment with Venue management and make necessary updates.
  • Manage employee and public liability claims handling and accident investigation across the whole site.
  • Monitor, inspect and advise on safety, fire, and food compliance throughout the arena, AEG Offices, loading bay and common areas outside the arena.
  • Contribute, advise, and assist in the maintaining incident management plans, including incident response, crisis management, business continuity and recovery, and resilience plans.
  • Support the Head of Health & Safety and Risk Director in the development and delivery of the health & safety strategic plan.
  • Support the Venue Management team in managing the medical and fire event provision and standards.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a NEBOSH National General Certificate
  • Has proven experience within the live events and entertainment sector.
  • Has proven experience in working within a health and safety management framework and implementing any changes in policies.
  • Has experience and competence in reviewing and approving work permits risk assessments, method statements, insurances, and competence certification.
  • Has proven stakeholder management, understanding both business and commercial needs.
  • Is able to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative and be solutions focussed.
  • Keeps up to date with the changes in legislation.
  • Is a member of a professional body such as IOSH or CIEH or equivalent.

You will need to be able to work flexibly in terms of hours / weekends as necessary.
